Partner Spotlight: SEOPS & SEE — Turning GTO into an On-Ramp to X-GEO and the Moon

That’s why we’re excited to launch a new Partner Spotlight series on our blog. This series is all about the teams we work with behind the scenes and how their expertise directly supports mission success for our customers.

And for our very first spotlight, we’re kicking things off with Space Exploration Engineering (SEE).

Who is SEE?

In a nutshell, SEE is all about turning ambitious space concepts into missions that actually fly.

Founded in 1995, SEE brings decades of real-world operational experience to the table, with more than 60 successful missions flown for commercial, U.S. government, and international customers. Their team specializes in end-to-end mission design—everything from feasibility analysis and flight dynamics to orbit raising, maneuver planning, launch and on-orbit operations, and training.

What really sets SEE apart is their deep understanding of what happens after launch. They’ve seen the challenges that arise during operations and know how to design missions that are ready for them. That kind of experience is invaluable when you’re trying to get spacecraft safely and efficiently to GEO, X-GEO, or even beyond.

Turning Darkstar GTO Rideshares into a Game-Changer

The most near-term (and exciting!) part of this partnership is how it supercharges SEOPS’ Darkstar GTO rideshare program (more here about the mission).

Darkstar already offers regular, cost-effective rideshare opportunities to Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO). But with SEE in the mix, these launches become far more than a simple drop-off.

By integrating SEE’s world-class mission analysis and flight dynamics support, every Darkstar GTO launch is tailored for missions to GEO, X-GEO, and even the Moon. The result? The industry’s first full-service mission analysis and operations package built directly into a rideshare offering.

We’re effectively turning GTO into a predictable, repeatable transit hub for deep-space missions.

What This Means in Practice

Here’s what SEOPS customers gain from the SEOPS + SEE partnership:

  • Lunar-Ready Trajectories: SEE designs the Darkstar injection orbits and separation sequences so that every GTO launch is also a viable lunar transfer opportunity—giving customers maximum flexibility for future missions.

Lowering the Barriers to Deep Space

By combining SEOPS’ launch brokerage with SEE’s high-end mission design, we’re dramatically lowering both the technical and financial barriers to cislunar and deep-space missions.
